Community Health Charities’ Disaster Response

Help those affected by crisis

Long-term recovery and rebuilding takes time and resources, as it is more than supplies and buildings. Many of those impacted by crisis, conflict, and disaster, develop short and long-term health and mental health conditions. Help rebuild and restore the lives of individuals, children, and families by providing resources for emergency medical and healthcare services, as well as improving mental health and wellbeing.

THE ANNUAL IMPACT OF DISASTER

  • Floods, storms, heat waves, and droughts have killed more than 600,000 and left 4.1 billion injured or homeless between 1995 and 2015 (CNN)
  • Nearly a quarter of the world’s children live in conflict or disaster-stricken countries (UNICEF)
  • Natural disasters caused $175 billion in damage in 2016 (UNISDR)
